TEACHERS
Karen Butler
Karen started her career as a teacher of English in the UK in 2013. She has a CELTA – Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Pass British Study Centre, Oxford , England, UK. She has also a BA in Anthropology and English Studies from Oxford Books University, England UK. She has years’s experience in EFL teaching and also in creating and planning courses for children and young people from a range of countries. She has been working closely with other teachers to share ideas and make procedures easier for the whole team. She is an adaptable and creative professional with years of experience in a variety of roles from teaching to project management. She is a person with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a practical approach to problem solving.
Isabel Fabris
Isabel Fabris holds a Doctoral Degree in Language Studies from PUC-Rio, an MA in Applied Linguistics from UFRJ, RJ, and a DELTA Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, a Cambridge Teaching Award. She also holds a Postgraduate Degree in English as well as in Portuguese for Foreigners from PUC-Rio. She has been responsible for coordinating English at the Escola Parque in Rio de Janeiro for more than 20 years. She is a co-founder and Director of Course at Villa School, a language school located in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro. She takes great pleasure in teaching English and Portuguese to students of all nationalities and is motivated by helping teachers to become highly competent professionals.
